Will Hurd Age, Height, Weight: Born on August 19, 1977, Will Hurd, officially known as William Ballard Hurd is an American politician.

He’s also a former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) clandestine officer who served as the U.S. representative for Texas’s 23rd congressional district from 2015 to 2021.

Hurd worked for the CIA for nine years, from 2000 to 2009. Following his stint with the CIA, he then ran for Congress in 2010 but was defeated in a runoff primary.

Hurd ran again for Congress in 2014 and was successful this time. He was re-elected in 2016 and again in 2018 but did not seek re-election to Congress in 2020.

As of January 2019, Hurd was the only Republican member of Congress representing a district along the U.S.–Mexican border

From 2019 until 2021, Hurd was the only African-American Republican in the House of Representatives.

During his congressional tenure, he became known for his expertise in technology and cybersecurity as well as for his bipartisanship

In June 2023, the Ex-Texas congressman hit major headlines after he announced he is joining the Republican race to be president.

On Thursday, June 22, Hurd announced that he was seeking the Republican nomination for president of the United States in the 2024 election.

“This morning, I filed to be the Republican nominee for president of the United States. This is a decision that my wife and I decided to do because we live in complicated times, and we need common sense,” Hurd said on CBS.
