Who is Yashasvi Jaiswal’s Spouse? – Yashasvi Bhupendra Kumar Jaiswal is a Mumbai-based Indian cricketer who represents his state in domestic cricket and plays for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL.
He holds the record for being the youngest cricketer worldwide to hit a List A double century. Jaiswal was the highest run-scorer of the Indian under-19 cricket team and was named player of the tournament in the 2020 Under-19 World Cup in South Africa. At the 2020 IPL auction, Raj asthan Royals signed him up for a whopping ₹24 million (US$300,000).
Jaiswal was born on 28 December 2001 in Suriyawan, Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, as the fourth child among six siblings to Bhupendra Jaiswal, who owned a small hardware store, and Kanchan Jaiswal, a housewife.
He shifted to Mumbai’s Dadar area at the age of ten to receive cricket training at Azad Maidan, where he stayed in a dairy shop in Kalbadevi in return for his work.
However, he was eventually asked to leave due to his inability to contribute much while managing his cricket training. Jaiswal then lived in a tent with the groundsmen at the Maidan, often going hungry and selling panipuri to sustain himself.
After living in tents for three years, Jaiswal‘s cricketing talent was discovered in December 2013 by Jwala Singh, who ran a cricket academy in Santacruz. Singh offered him a place to stay and became his legal guardian after obtaining his power of attorney.
Jaiswal shot to fame in 2015 after smashing an unbeaten 319 and taking 13/99 in a Giles Shield match, which earned him a spot in Mumbai’s under-16 squad and later in India’s under-19 team.
He was recognized by the Limca Book of Records for his all-round record in school cricket. Jaiswal was named the player of the tournament and the highest run-scorer at the 2018 under-19 tri-series in England, featuring Bangladesh.
He was selected for India’s squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup and emerged as the tournament’s top scorer, scoring a century against Pakistan in the semi-final.
Jaiswal made his first-class debut for Mumbai in the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy and has since improved his batting form in red-ball cricket.
In List A cricket, Jaiswal made his debut in September 2019 for Mumbai in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and became the youngest double centurion in List A history at the age of 17 years and 292 days. He was also one of the top five run-scorers in the tournament.
Jaiswal was picked by Rajasthan Royals in the 2020 IPL auction and made his T20 debut for them in September 2020. He scored his first half-century in the IPL against Chennai Super Kings on 2 October 2021.
