Who Is Stephen Tompkinson?, Birthday, Family, Movies: Born on October 15, 1965, Stephen Tompkinson, officially known as Stephen Phillip Tompkinson is an English actor.

He developed a love for acting at a younger age and has been consistent throughout his career rising through the ranks to become one of the most sought-after actors.

Tompkinson’s career spans over four decades and has starred in several films and movies including; Tales Of Sherwood Forest, Minder, Drop The Dead Donkey, In Deep, Brassed Off, Bedtime, Hotel Splendide, Mr. Charity, and Wild At Heart, to mention a few.

He’s known for his television roles as Marcus in Chancer, Damien Day in Drop the Dead Donkey, Father Peter Clifford in Ballykissangel, Trevor Purvis in Grafters, Danny Trevanion in Wild at Heart, and Alan Banks in DCI Banks.

In February 2012, he filmed his first lead role in a feature film titled Harrigan, described on its 2013 release in Britain as having “a thin budget and cartoonish script”

Tompkinson has said repeatedly that he enjoys the challenge of mixing television and film roles with live stage productions. He has appeared on stage in London’s West End and in theatres across the UK.

As of 2022, Stephen Tompkinson has been standing trial for allegedly inflicting grievous bodily harm on Karl Poole on 30 May 2021.

On 10 August 2022, he pleaded not guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm. In May 2023, he hit headlines when he appeared before the court again and denied a charge of inflicting grievous bodily harm.

The actor is on trial at Newcastle Crown Court, where jurors have heard the actor punched a man who was making noise outside his home in North Tyneside.

Tompkinson slapped and punched a man who was drunk and making noise outside his home, leaving him with traumatic brain injuries, a court has heard.

Jurors were told that after being taken to hospital, Mr. Poole was found to have a fractured skull and significant traumatic brain injuries.

Following his arrest, Tompkinson told officers he had gone outside to ask the men to move away so as not to disturb his partner and her child, who were asleep.

He said he acted in self-defense as the men had become “aggressive”. The trial continues and we will keep you updated.
