Who Is Paul Ince Wife?: Meet Claire Ince: Paul Ince, officially known as Paul Emerson Carlyle Ince is an English professional football manager and former player.

He developed a love for football at a younger age and was consistent throughout his career rising through the ranks to become one of the most sought-after players until he retired.

As a former midfielder, Ince played professionally from 1982 to 2007, starting his career with West Ham United.

He later represented Manchester United, Liverpool, Middlesbrough, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Swindon Town, and Macclesfield Town in England, as well as Inter Milan in Italy.

With a combined total of 271 league appearances for the two, Ince is one of the few players, especially in the Premier League era, to have represented both arch-rivals Liverpool and Manchester United.

As a former player, he won numerous honors with Manchester United and became the first black player to captain the England national team.

As a football manager, Ince has coached a number of teams including; Swindon Town, Macclesfield Town, Milton Keynes Dons, Blackburn Rovers, Milton Keynes Dons, Notts County, and Blackpool.

Most recently, he managed Reading. On 19 February 2022, Ince and Michael Gilkes were announced as interim managers of the Championship side Reading.

In April 2023, Paul Ince hit major headlines after he was sacked by English Football League (EFL) Championship side Reading.

The now-former Reading manager was sacked following a stoppage-time defeat at Preston dropped the Royals into the Championship relegation zone.

He was axed amid the club’s poor form following an eight-match winless run including the latest defeat in the 2-1 loss at Preston North End on Easter Monday.

Ince was appointed on an interim basis in February 2022 before taking on the role permanently last May.

Reading were deducted six points last week for breaching the terms of a business plan set by the English Football League.

Ince had been on the brink of departure with his future discussed on Saturday by the board following Good Friday’s 1-1 stalemate with Birmingham City.

The Championship club released a statement on their website confirming that Ince had left the club along with assistant Alex Rae, who both had joined the club on an interim basis 14 months ago.

It added that Ince had done an ‘admirable job helping the club stave off the threat of relegation with four wins from the final 14 fixtures last season.’
