Khairy Jamaluddin is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a coalition partner of the Barisan Nasional (BN). He was also the federal Minister of Youth and Sports from May 2013 to May 2018. Nori is of Malay, Chinese, Chinese, and Arab ancestry. She is also married to former Malaysian UMNO Youth Leader Khairy Jamaluddin.

Nori Abdullah Badawi began his career as a Visiting Fellow at the Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS) Malaysia in 1999.

He began his career as a deputy editor at Noordin Sopiee & Associates (NSA), which conducts research and political analysis of current events, in 2003, and was promoted to editor in 2004.

Following the death of Tan Sri Dr Noordin Sopiee, he currently serves as Executive Director (Executive Chairperson) NSA. Nori is also a founder member of Puteri UMNO, Malaysia’s main political party, the United Malays National Organisation, and a member of the Executive Council) for the 2002-2004 term.

He presently serves on the Malaysian National Youth Consultative Council, a representative organization that works on policy issues with the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
