The late Jules Bass was an American director, lyricist, producer and author, He was born on January 19th 1953 in Philadelphia in the United States of America. He was born to Sid Richardson Bass and Anne Hendrickson Bass. He contracted scarlet fever when he was a teenager and came dangerously close to passing away. Before working for a marketing firm, he attended New York University.
He was employed by a New York advertising agency until 1960, when he and his buddy Arthur Rankin Jr. co-founded Videocraft International, subsequently known as Rankin/Bass Productions, a film production company. He joined ASCAP in 1963, working with Edward Thomas and James Polack at their music company and primarily with Maury Laws as a composition partnership at Rankin/Bass.

Reene Fisherman, with whom Jules Bass had a daughter named Jean Nicole, was his first wife. Sadly, Jean passed away in January 2022 before her father did on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.
Jules Bass is reported to have been married twice. He was also married to Sylvia Bass but unfortunately, both marriages collapsed.
