Ana Walshe, a 39-year-old mother of three from Cohasset was reported to be missing on New Year’s eve by her husband and her employer.

Walshe weighs 115 pounds and stands at a height of 5 feet, 2 inches tall. Police claim she talks with an eastern European accent and has olive skin, brown hair, and brown eyes.

Walshe goes to Washington, D.C. during the week to work for the real estate firm Tishman Speyer, a position she started last year, according to friends who spoke to NewsCenter 5.

Walshe reportedly maintains a vehicle at his townhouse while working in the capital, according to Cohasset police chief William Quigley.

Quigley claimed that Walshe’s spouse in Cohasset and her employer, Tishman Speyer, both reported her missing on Wednesday.

Family members informed police they last saw Walshe at her Cohasset home between 4 and 5 a.m. on New Year’s Day, according to Quigley.

The family member also informed Cohasset police that Walshe was attempting to catch an early flight to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport on January 1st, 2023 by taking a rideshare from her house to Boston Logan International Airport.

According to Quigley, Cohasset police have been in touch with rideshare businesses but have not been able to establish that she entered a rideshare vehicle outside of her home. Quigley recording equipment in the area, such as Ring home security cameras, have not revealed any proof of a rideshare vehicle entering or leaving Walshe’s home.

The police chief added that he was able to confirm Walshe’s absence from this week’s flights with all airlines. Walshe had a flight scheduled for January 3 from Boston to Washington, but Quigley claimed she did not travel on that flight either.

Police from the Washington townhouse’s search by the Metropolitan Police Department, according to Quigley, turned up no trace of Walshe.

Walshe’s telephone has been off since the first of the year, according to Quigley, and her credit and debit cards have also been dormant since that day.

Walshe is active on social media, according to her pals, who told NewsCenter 5 that the accounts became silent on January 1st 2023.

Detectives from the Cohasset Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police, and the Hingham, Hull, Norwell, and Scituate police departments have all contributed to the hunt for Walshe. Investigators have included officers from the Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council.

A local police squad and members of the Massachusetts State Police Special Emergency Response Team spent the majority of Friday searching the area close to Walshe’s home along Chief Justice Cushing Highway (Route 3A). At around 6:30 p.m., the search was suspended for the evening after covering a region of around one square mile.

Between 9:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Saturday, the search for Walshe in that region was resumed; however, authorities said that their search was over at about 5:15 p.m.

20 troopers from the MSP Special Emergency Response Team, a specialist force trained in search and rescue operations, three K-9 teams, and the State Police Air Wing Unit, according to the authorities, scoured wooded areas close to Walshe’s home for the second day in a row with no luck.

“The ground search will not resume unless police develop new information that so warrants it. Simultaneously, state police and Cohasset police detectives continue to undertake various investigative actions to determine Ms. Walshe’s whereabouts,” reads a joint statement from Cohasset and state police.

The DA’s Office reported that Cohasset and state police detectives who traveled to Washington on Saturday to look for any potential evidence or information regarding Walshe’s potential whereabouts were scheduled to return from D.C. However, investigators returned to Walshe’s home early on Sunday morning.

The Norfolk District Attorney’s Office reported on Sunday that police had detained Cohasset resident Brian Walshe, 46, on suspicion of perjuring a police investigation.

Cohasset and state police established reasonable cause to think that Ana Walshe’s husband had committed the crime of deceiving police investigators over the course of their investigation.

Authorities stated that further information may or may not be added to the record before Brian Walshe’s arraignment on Monday morning in Quincy District Court.
