Who are Imam-ul-Haq’s Parents? – Imam-ul-Haq is the nephew of the retired Pakistani international cricketer Inzamam-ul-Haq. He serves as an opener and made a notable debut in One Day Internationals (ODIs) against Sri Lanka, becoming the second Pakistani and thirteenth overall to score a century on debut.

Born on December 22, 1995, and in August 2018, Imam-ul-Haq was among the 33 players awarded a central contract by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the 2018–19 season.

The p arental lineage of Imam-ul-Haq traces back to Insaram ul Haq and Farah Insaram, who are acknowledged as his mother and father, respectively. These individuals, beyond their roles as the progenitors of the talented cricketer, contribute significantly to the familial background that has shaped Imam-ul-Haq’s personal and professional journey.

His domestic career highlights include a remarkable score of 200 not out for Habib Bank Limited in the 2016–17 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy final and a crucial innings of 59 not out for Lahore Blues in the 2017–18 National T20 Cup final.

The cricketer extended his reach to English county cricket when he joined Somerset for the final four matches of the County Championship in July 2022.

In the international arena, his ODI debut showcased his talent as he scored a century against Sri Lanka in October 2017, earning him the man of the match title. He continued to make significant contributions, including a half-century in his Test debut against Ireland in May 2018.

Partnering with Fakhar Zaman in July 2018, he set a record for the highest opening partnership in ODIs, scoring 304 runs. In January 2019, Imam-ul-Haq became the second fastest player to reach 1,000 ODI runs in his 19th innings. His performance in ODIs continued to shine, and he was part of Pakistan’s squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup.

Notably, in March 2022, he achieved a milestone by scoring his first century in Test cricket during the series against Australia. His consistent performance in international cricket includes scoring his 2,000th run in ODIs against England in July 2021.

On August 22, 2023, in the opening match of the ODI series against Afghanistan, he played a pivotal inning of 61 runs, leading Pakistan to victory by 142 runs. The match took place at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Sooriyawewa, Hambantota, Sri Lanka.

In his personal life, he was born in Multan, Punjab, to a Syed Sunni Muslim family. His family had relocated from Hansi in Punjab Province, British India (now in Haryana, India) during the Partition of India. He shares a familial connection with former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq.
