Wataru Endo career

With Shonan Bellmare, Endo started his professional career. He continued to play for Sint-Truiden through 2019. Endo was given a season-long loan to VfB Stuttgart on August 13, 2019.

Stuttgart officially signed Endo in April 2020. Endo renewed his agreement with VfB Stuttgart through June 2024 on November 26, 2020.

Endo scored Stuttgart’s lone goal in a 1-2 loss to TSG Hoffenheim on February 25, 2022. He scored once more as the team defeated Borussia Mönchengladbach 3-2.

In a 2-1 victory over 1. FC Köln on May 14, 2022, scored the game-winning goal in stoppage time to keep Stuttgart out of the relegation playoffs and guarantee their spot in the 2022–23 Bundesliga.

Endo was added to the Japan team on July 23, 2015, in preparation for the upcoming 2015 EAFF East Asian Cup.

Although he did not participate in any of Japan’s games at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, his name was on the team.
