He worked for Federal Express for many years before entering retirement. After retiring, he began a new career driving a dump truck for Taylor Transport in Cartersville, Georgia.

Tom Jackson became famous for his appearance on the American reality television series, Queer Eye and was one of the most famous former participants in the makeover series.

He died at the Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia after losing his battle with metastatic adenocarcinoma, a gland cancer that has spread to other areas of the body.

Paying tribute, Queer Eye’s stars said they were saying goodbye to a “member of the family” with a “heavy heart”.
