There are certain stories in the National Inquirer that sound utterly insane, but one concerning Tom Cruise and the Beckham family does not. The biggest Hollywood movie stars welcomed David and Victoria Beckham when they landed in Los Angeles for him to play with the LA Galaxy.
Among the celebs were Will Smith and Tom Cruise. But the ‘Mission Impossible’ star hasn’t spoken to them in years, and no one knows why. According to the Inquirer, Tom Cruise has been entirely ghosting the Beckhams for a reason. When they originally came in 2007, they were absolutely inseparable, but something happened along the line that caused them to part ways.
Why did Tom Cruise lose touch completely with David Beckham and Victoria Beckham?
According to a confidential source who spoke to the Inquirer, Tom Cruise wanted to incorporate the Beckhams into his Scientology church. They turned down his proposition, offending Tom Cruise in the process. After being rejected in this manner, Cruise severed all relations with David and Victoria Beckham.
He also allegedly invited some of his religion’s most prominent figures to a party that the Beckhams simply ignored. Tom Cruise apparently feels tremendously upset as a result of this reaction and has no intention of ever being friends with the couple again. David and Victoria tried to call him a short time ago, but Tom ignored them.
Tom Cruise believes he intended to hand over the keys to the kingdom to the Beckhams, but they refused. Initially, there was a sense that something unusual had occurred, but Tom Cruise attempted to convert them to Scientology, which they obviously resisted. Because his daughter has made it apparent that she does not want him to be a part of his religion, the actor has been more estranged from it in recent years.
Could Cruise and the Beckhams’ latest decision to leave Scientology be a new chance for them to mend their friendship? This could explain their recent sightings at Wimbledon and the European Cup finals.
