South Korean singer, Boo Seaungkwan, also known mononymously as Seungkwan was born on January 16th, 1998 in Jeju-do, South Korea.
As a child, he took part in school-sponsored festivals of children’s music, when a teacher captured his performance and uploaded it online.

On May 29, 2015, Seungkwan made his debut as a member of the South Korean boy band Seventeen through the extended play 17 Carat. Seungkwan released the song “Kind of Love” in 2018 for the Mother soundtrack.
The song’s acoustic sound depicts a tragic love story. Seungkwan joined the BSS subgroup, also known as BooSeokSoon, which is the collective moniker for the three bandmates Hoshi, DK, and Boo.
On March 21, the group released its first single, “Just Do It.” Seungkwan was given a role in the talk show Unexpected Q that same year. At the 2018 MBC Entertainment Awards, he won the “Rookie (Music and Talk)” category.
Seungkwan was given roles in the 2019 television productions Prison Life of Fools and Five Cranky Brothers. For the Record of Youth album, Boo debuted the song “Go” on September 7, 2020.
Seungkwan contributed a song called “The Reason” to the soundtrack for the television show Lovestruck in the City on January 29, 2021.
Together with Super Junior Eunhyuk and Kang Ho-dong, Seungkwan was cast in the TV series Job Dongsan and the Idol Dictation Contest.
Subsequently, he made an appearance on the new tvN badminton program Racket Boys, which also included Olympic champion Oh Sang-uk, Jang Sung-kyu, and Yang Se-chan.
