She later relocated to Croydon, where she attended Woodcote High School and BRIT School before dropping out after two years owing to feeling “confined…despite learning an extensive amount.” Keen spent most of her adolescence studying how to write songs professionally in studio sessions on weekends. Abby Lynn Keen, Raye’s younger sister, is a singer-songwriter who goes by the stage name.
