Please Let Us Breathe’ – Toyin Abraham’s Husband, Kolawole Ajeyemi, Reacts After Being Criticized For Wearing A Muslim Outfit

Kolawole Ajeyemi, actor, producer and husband of popular Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham, has addressed critics bashing him over his Muslim outfit.

Kolawole Ajeyemi took to social media to share photos of him rocking a Muslim outfit and hijab, but for some reason, a section of Nigerians frowned on it and slammed him over it.

Responding to the backlash, Kolawole Ajeyemi revealed that his costume in hijab was for a movie shoot and schooled his critics on the fact that a film is a reflection of our society.

He urged those criticizing him as he described them as ‘over-zealous’ people to give movie makers a break.

He wrote;

‘My last post with me in Hijab is off a movie set. Movie is a reflection of our society. Some people need to stop playing the role of deputy God. This is movie. No insulting intelligence or religion of any person.

Apologies to those offended but note this is a movie and we are duty bound to do it right because if we don’t do it right, the audience will be the first to complain, so, can the over-zealous people please let us breathe’.
