He developed a love for acting and music at a younger age and has been consistent throughout his career rising through the ranks to become one of the most sought-after acts in the entertainment space.

Penn Badgley rose to fame for his role as Phillip Chancellor IV on the soap opera The Young and the Restless which earned him a Young Artist Award nomination.

He’s also known for roles in the comedy films John Tucker Must Die and Drive-Thru. Penn Badgley portrayed Dan Humphrey in The CW teen drama series Gossip Girl and Joe Goldberg in the Netflix thriller series You.

For his role in Gossip Girl, he received six Teen Choice Award nominations, and for You, he earned MTV Movie & TV Aw ard and Saturn Award nominations.

He went on to appear in a number of films, including The Stepfather, the teen comedy-drama Easy A, the financial thriller Margin Call, the biographical film Greetings from Tim Buckley, and the independent drama The Paper Store.

For Margin Call, he won an Independent Spirit Award. Apart from his career as an actor, Badgley has served the music community with several projects.

He was the lead singer for Brooklyn-based indie band MOTHXR, whose debut studio album, Centerfold, was released in 2016.

In October 2019, Badgley was cast in the independent film Here Today opposite Billy Crystal and Tiffany Haddish, which was released in May 2021 to mixed reviews from critics.
