Panic! at the Disco Awards – Panic! at the Disco is an American rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, formed in 2004.

The band was formed by childhood friends Ryan Ross, Spencer Smith, Brent Wilson, and Brendon Urie, who were all still in high school at the time. The band’s name is taken from the name of a song by the band Name Taken.

The band’s debut album, “A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out,” was released in 2005 and featured the hit single “I Write Sins Not Tragedies,” which helped the band achieve mainstream success. The single reached number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was certified double platinum. The album also featured the singles “Lying Is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off” and “But It’s Better If You Do,” which also gained popularity. The album went on to sell over 2 million copies worldwide.

In 2007, the band released their second album “Pretty. Odd,” which featured a more pop-oriented sound compared to their debut album. The album featured the singles “Nine in the Afternoon” and “Mad as Rabbits,” which were successful in the charts. The album debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and has been certified gold.

After the release of “Pretty. Odd,” the band went through some lineup changes. Ryan Ross and Jon Walker left the band, leaving Urie as the only remaining member of the original lineup. The band then released their third album “Vices & Virtues” in 2011, with Urie as the only remaining original member. The album featured the singles “The Ballad of Mona Lisa” and “Ready to Go (Get Me Out of My Mind),” which received positive reviews.

In 2013, the band released their fourth album “Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!,” which featured a more electronic sound compared to their previous albums. The album featured the singles “Miss Jackson” and “This Is Gospel,” which were successful in the charts. The album debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.

In 2016, the band released their fifth album “Death of a Bachelor,” which featured a more pop-oriented sound compared to their previous albums. The album featured the singles “Hallelujah” and “Emperor’s New Clothes,” which were successful in the charts. The album debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and has been certified platinum.

In 2018, the band released their sixth album “Pray for the Wicked,” which featured a more electronic sound compared to their previous albums. The album featured the singles “Say Amen (Saturday Night),” “High Hopes,” and “Hey Look Ma, I Made It,” which were successful in the charts. The album debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

In 2018 the band’s lead vocalist and only remaining original member, Brendon Urie, announced that Panic! at the Disco will be going on indefinite hiatus following the end of the “Pray for the Wicked” tour. But In 2019, Urie announced that he will be continuing to use the Panic! at the Disco name and that the band will continue to tour and release new music. Their latest album “Dying in LA” was released in 2018.

Panic! at the Disco has received several awards throughout their career for their music and live performances. In 2006, the band won the MTV Video Music Award for Best Art Direction for their music video for “I Write Sins Not Tragedies.” In 2007, the band was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package for their album “A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out.”

In 2011, the band won the MTV Video Music Award Japan for Best Rock Video for their music video for “The Ballad of Mona Lisa.” In 2013, the band won the MTV Video Music Award for Best Art Direction for their music video for “This Is Gospel.” The same year, the band was nominated for the MTV Europe Music Award for Best US Act.

In 2016, the band won the iHeartRadio Music Award for Alternative Rock Song of the Year for their single “Hallelujah.” In 2018, the band won the iHeartRadio Music Award for Best Cover Song for their cover of “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

In addition to these awards, the band has also received several nominations for awards such as the MTV Europe Music Award, the American Music Award, and the Billboard Music Award.
