Nyck de Vries Parents: Meet Naomi And Hendrik Jan de Vries: Nyck de Vries, officially known as Hendrik Johannes Nicasius is a Dutch racing driver.

Born on February 6, 1995, and growing up, he developed a passion for race driving at a younger age and has been consistent throughout his career

De Vries has risen through the ranks to become one of the most sought-after racing drivers and was signed to the McLaren Young Driver Programme from January 2010 until May 2019.

Under the McLaren Young Driver Programme, he won the 2010 Karting World Championships and in 2011, he also won the World Championship in 2011.

De Vries went ahead to be part of the Formula Renault Eurocup, Formula Renault 3.5 Series, GP3 Series, and FIA Formula 2 Championship, among others.

He participated in the FIA World Endurance Championship, winning the 6 hours of Fuji on 6 October 2019 with this team, their first win in this class

On 11 September 2019, De Vries was announced as a driver for the new Mercedes-Benz EQ Formula E Team for the 2019–20 Formula E season

In July 2020, he was announced as the Toyota Gazoo Racing Europe GmbH test and reserve driver. His roles include testing the Toyota TS050 Hybrid and Toyota’s hypercar

De Vries won the 2020–21 Formula E World Championship and made his Formula One debut in September 2022 as a substitute for Williams at the 2022 Italian Grand Prix.

He competed in Formula One for Scuderia AlphaTauri. De Vries joined Scuderia AlphaTauri for the 2023 season but was released after the 2023 British Grand Prix.
