She was sentenced to death for stabbing one three men who attempted to rape her in Karaj in March 2005. She also dedicated her song Someday (one of twelve tracks on her album Someday), to Nazanin Fatehi. In June 2006, Nazanin Fatehi received a new trial after pressure from the international community.
