Mike Lee Wife: Meet Sharon Lee: Mike Lee, officially known as Michael Shumway Lee is an American lawyer and politician born on June 4, 1971.
He started his career as a clerk for the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah before clerking for Samuel Alito, who was then a judge on the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
Lee then became the assistant United States attorney for the District of Utah from 2002 to 2005 before joining Utah Governor Jon Huntsman’s administration where he served as the general counsel in the governor’s office from 2005 to 2006.

Later, he again became a clerk, this time for Alito after he was appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court. In 2010, during the Tea Party movement, he entered the party caucus process to challenge Bob Bennett, the incumbent three-term Republican senator.
Lee won and has been serving as the senior United States senator from Utah since 2011. Prior to contesting Republican senator Bob Bennett, he stated that, if elected, he wouldn’t serve more than two terms, a promise he broke in 2022 by running for (and winning) a third term.
Lee coordinated with and supported the Trump administration in its efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election, but ultimately voted to certify the election. He’s a member of the Republican Party.
