Memphis Grizzlies News, Head Coach, Division, Location: The Memphis Grizzlies locally referred to as the Grizz is an American professional basketball team based in Memphis, Tennessee.
The team was initially established in 1995 as the Vancouver Grizzlies in the city of Vancouver, Canada. The Grizzlies compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league’s Western Conference Southwest Division. In 2022, the Grizzlies won their division for the first time in franchise history.
Memphis Grizzlies Coach
At the time of this writing, Taylor Jenkins was the head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies. Taylor Jenkins was born on September 12, 1984, in Arlington, Texas, United States.
He attended the St. Mark’s School of Texas in Dallas and was a two-time captain of their basketball team. Taylor Jenkins studied at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics while concentrating on Management and minoring in Psychology.
The 38-year-old started his internship with the San Antonio Spurs during the 2007–08 season. From 2008 to 2013, Taylor Jenkins worked as an assistant coach and a head coach for the San Antonio Spurs
From 2013–2018, Jenkins worked as an assistant coach for the Atlanta Hawks under head coach Mike Budenholzer. On June 11, 2019, the Memphis Grizzlies hired Jenkins as their new head coach.

The Grizzlies play their home games at FedExForum, a multi-purpose arena in Downtown Memphis, Tennessee owned by the Memphis City Council.
FedExForum was designed by the architecture firm, Ellerbe Becket and started its operation on Monday, September 6, 2004. FedExForum has a capacity of 18,119.

The Memphis Grizzlies basketball team is based in Memphis, Tennessee, United States. The Grizzlies are currently the only team in the major professional North American sports leagues based in the city of Memphis, and the only professional basketball team in Tennessee.
