Meet Dale Meeks’s Brother: Philip Meeks: Born on November 16, 1975, Dale Meeks was an English television and theatre actor.
He developed a love for acting at a younger age and has been consistent throughout his career rising through the ranks to become one of the most sought-after actors.
Meeks starred in the BBC teen drama as Greg, leader of Denton Burn, the rivals to the Byker Grove youth club.
The actor was best known for playing Simon Meredith in the ITV soap Emmerdale between 2003 and 2006.
Meek’s other credits include roles in Casualty, Inspector George Gently, and the Tracey Beaker spin-off The Dumping Ground.
He was also a singer, winning ITV’s Stars in Their Eyes Celebrity Special, alongside fellow Emmerdale actor Mark Charnock as the Blues Brothers.
In April 2023, he had his last appearance on television in the ITV drama The Hunt For Raoul Moat, in which he portrayed Rory Sutcliffe.
Sadly, Dale Meeks has died. He passed away at the age of 47 on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at South Tyneside Hospital.
The cause of his death has not officially been made public. However, unconfirmed reports say he died from heart failure.
In an emotional tribute on Instagram, his brother Philip Meeks wrote how he ‘tried so desperately’ to help The Hunt For Raoul Moat star, who he claimed had been battling with ‘undiagnosed conditions’.
“The little boy I grew up with has left me. I cared for him so deeply. I tried so desperately to help him. It will say heart failure on the death certificate. But we’ll be collecting for @mindcharity.”
“Dale was profoundly unwell and unable to cope and undiagnosed conditions in men in their forties are killers. Dale was let down by those who should have seen beyond his ability to act and recognise his pain. I will never get over his death”
At the time of this report, the family was planning his final funeral arrangement and the details are yet to be finalized. We will keep you updated.

In an emotional tribute to his brother, Philip shared that Dale was profoundly ill and was suffering from an undiagnosed condition that was fatal for a man in his forties.
Philip Meeks lives his life away from the eyes of the public hence not much is known about him. His date of birth, age, and occupation were not available at the time of this writing.
