Astute Ghanaian journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni has thrown shades at the president of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo.
This comes after the president’s recent interview on BBC where he answered questions concerning the economy of Ghana.
Many Ghanaians have reacted to the interview, and there are some who believe the answers the president gave were not enough to convince Ghanaians and the world that the country’s economy is not hailing.
The popular journalist was part of the popular personalities who have shared their thoughts. Taking to his official social media handle on the popular social media platform, Facebook, he wrote;
“You can evade all the critical media here, but if your fundamentals are weak, the foreign media will still expose you.”
Some reactions from social media users who saw the post are;
Emmanuel Amedegbe – If this guy had known nka he would have disappointed them by not going. This interview is telling me two things, either t he president don’t understand English or when he speaks he doesn’t understand it himself.
Okatakyie Emba Dadzie – He said, E-levy is passed to widen our tax net and also to tax the industries.
The question is, is one’s personal momo account an industry?
If he want to tax the industry then he should tax their dividend and not individuals .
Nana Kweku Adjen – Who in his wildest dream could have thought that the only president with the men couldn’t make any strong argument on BBC for E- Levy. It’s just a fact that the policy is just a LEGAL THIEVERY. It’s disheartening to know that the president himself doesn’t understand the whole concept of the E- Levy but it’s a sacred fact.
😔
Emma Dek – I don’t think he is ever going to accept to be interviewed again in his life as a president..
He was thinking chairman general was the one going to interviewed him🤣🤣🤣
