Louisette Dussault children-Canadian actress and writer, Louisette Dussault was born on June 12th, 1940 in Thetford Mines, Quebec in Canada.

Dussault is known to be the founder of Les Enfants de Chénier and took part in their show Grand Spectacle d’adieu.

She established Les Enfants de Chénier with Jean-Claude Germain and participated in their production of Grand Spectacle d’adieu.

She appeared in performances of works by André Brassard and Michel Tremblay, including as the film Françoise Durocher, Waitress, the world premieres of Les Belles-Soeurs, Demain matin, Montréal m’attend, and Tremblay’s translations of Lysistrata and Dario Fo’s Mistero Buffo.

She made key feminist appearances in the plays Les Fées ont soif and La Nef des sorcières, as well as in her solo monologue Moman.

This most recent play, Mother, was translated into English and featured in the anthology Quebec Women’s Plays in English Translation Vol. I (1966–1986).

The play Pandora ou Mon p’tit papa was written and performed by Dussault. The award-winning drama Le voyage magnifique d’Emily Carr featured her in the titular character.

Dussault also appeared in movies and television shows. She played the titular character in the children’s television program La Souris Verte from 1964 until 1971.

Together with Marilyn, she also made appearances in Rumeurs, Les étoiles filantes, Les héritiers Duval, and Destinées. In 1995, she received the Prix Victor-Morin.
