Louise Speed Children: Meet Thomas and Edward – Louise Speed first made headlines when her husband, Gary Speed died in 2011.

Louise married Gary in 1996, and their marriage was quite a happy one until Gary’s death through suicide.

It was revealed that Louise and Gary were childhood sweethearts, and Gary was discovered hanged at the family home near Chester by his wife Louise. Louise admitted her husband had sent her a text message threatening suicide four days before he died – he was also left all of his ‘personal chattels’.

Gary’s friends denied he was depressed, but his wife admitted he had texted her a suicide threat just four days before his death.

Louise was reported to be in a relationship with businessman Quinton Bird a decade after Gary Speed’s death.

The divorced father-of-three, 52, aided her through the grief and loneliness that followed Speed’s death.

Louise and millionaire Bird have been business partners for six years and are the sole directors of Chester-based Bow Property Development.

Bird posted photos of himself and Louise on Facebook, including one of them on a summer vacation and another in hiking gear captioned ‘Lakes with Lou!’

Louise struggled to get off the couch for two years after Speed’s death because she was dealing with so many unanswered questions. She admitted that the month of November is always difficult for her.

Louise and Quinton married in a lavish ceremony at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire in 2021, in a room decorated with stunning white flowers and candles.

However, Quinton died six months later from an aggressive type of brain tumor.

According to a family member, he had brain cancer for more than two years. In a tribute, his father Roy said the family was ‘devastated’ to lose their son ‘at such a young age is beyond words.’

He went on to say that Quinton was a ‘wonderful’ father himself, and that he and his wife Jenny ‘had been left with a wealth of beautiful and extraordinary memories’.
