Kathy Griffin Discusses Randy Bick Divorce, Admits It’s Difficult

Kathy Griffin, the comedian, has found herself in a bit of a pickle. She’s the one who filed for divorce, but it’s still a tough spot to be in. “Well…sh*t. This sucks,” she tweeted on Friday, shortly after the news broke.
She formally requested to end her four-year marriage with her second husband, Randy Bick, on Thursday. This all went down in Los Angeles. In the filing, which Page Six managed to get their hands on, she listed their date of separation as December 22, 2023. The reason? Irreconcilable differences.
Now, here’s where things get interesting. The documents show that Griffin, who’s 63, and Bick, a 44-year-old marketing executive, signed a prenuptial agreement. They did this on December 23, 2019, just nine days before they said “I do” in a surprise New Year’s Day ceremony.
Griffin, who you might know from “My Life on the D-List,” asked the court to enforce the prenup. This would mean neither party could get financial support from the other. They don’t have any kids, by the way.
Griffin and Bick announced their engagement just hours before they tied the knot. Lily Tomlin officiated the ceremony. Griffin, who also starred in “Suddenly Susan,” said at the time that they wanted to get married right after midnight. They wanted a “great start to 2020.”
The former lovebirds started dating in 2011. They broke up in November 2018 but got back together by April the following year. Less than two years into their marriage, Griffin was diagnosed with lung cancer. She had surgery in December 2021 to remove half of one of her lungs. Afterward, she announced that she was “cancer-free.”
At the time, she told Jimmy Kimmel she “never smoked” and that the tumor had been there “for 10 years.” Her doctors “took it out,” but then they “found it in another scan.” Even though she’s in remission, Griffin had to undergo vocal cord surgery in June. This was part of her “cancer journey” and “recovery post-lung cancer surgery.”
Oh, and one more thing. Griffin was married once before, to actor Matt Moline. They were together from 2001 to 2006.
