The following week, as the Texans thrashed the Tennessee Titans 38–14, he made two solo stops, deflected two passes, intercepted quarterback Matt Hasselbeck of the Titans, and returned it 63 yards for his first career score.

In 2013, Jackson and Joseph made a comeback as the starting cornerback tandem for the Houston Texans. In the Texans’ season-opening 31–28 victory over the San Diego Chargers, he recorded three solo tackles.

In a 30–24 victory over the Tennessee Titans the next game, Jackson recorded a season-high six solo tackles and produced two pass deflections.

Starting the 2014 season against the Washington Redskins, Jackson recorded eight total tackles in the team’s 17-6 victory.

One of the best cornerbacks available when he became an unrestricted free agency in the 2015 off-season was Jackson. Jackson inked a $33 million, three-year contract with the Denver Broncos on March 13, 2019. Jackson intercepted Ryan Tannehill in the sixth-week victory over the Tennessee Titans, which ended in a 16–0 victory.
