Then, in January of 2005 Jeff Roper left WSOC to start a new morning show on WWNU 92.2 FM, which is located at Columbia, South Carolina. WSOC management gave Edwards to assume co-hosting duties along with Rob Tanner as part of the brand new Tanner on the Morning program. The show’s blend of humor from the region and parodies has made it one of the most popular morning programs in the Charlotte region’s country radio market. Edwards continued hosting the show for two years.

Although Edwards enjoyed her radio work, she began to feel strongly about voice acting. In August 2006, Edwards and fellow voice actors Sean Schemmel, Christopher Sabat, and Jason Liebrecht attended the Wizard World Comics Convention in Chicago, Illinois. When Dragon Ball fans waited in line up to five hours to get her autograph, Edwards began seriously considering making voice acting her full-time job.

In 2019, Edwards alleged that voice actor Vic Mignogna had sexually harassed her, citing that he had pulled her hair and propositioned her in 2008 and 2010. She initially revealed the allegations anonymously through io9 but later testified against him during his lawsuit.

She was in the post until October 31st of 2003. When the morning’s broadcast ended and the whole Sander Walker crew and cast were informed that WSSS changed its style to Christmas music all around the clock, and then were completely terminated. Edwards did not stay away from the airwaves long however. Then, in the month of February, she was anchor on The Jeff Roper Morning Show syndicated by WSOC 103.7 FM. In the last quarter of her Radio Disney tenure, Edwards was a voice actor in several American-English renditions of Japanese anime series produced by Funimation. Her most well-known voice work was in the role of the little version Goten or Videl on Dragon Ball Z. in March of 2002 Edwards got a job as an editor and sometimes “sidekick” for the Sander Walker on the morning radio show on WSSS 104.7 Radio situated in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Edwards met Charlotte CBS affiliate WBTV meteorologist Chris Suchan; they married in April 2006. They were later divorced. She gave birth to a child in August 2015.
