He currently plays as a defensive tackle for the Chicago Bears in the National Football League (NFL). Jones played college football at North Carolina State (NC State), where he exhibited remarkable skills that would eventually earn him a spot in the NFL.

In the 2018 NFL Draft, Jones was selected by the Los Angeles Chargers in the third round. Prior to the draft, he participated in the 2018 Senior Bowl, a prestigious annual college football all-star game that showcases the best college football players.
