John Farnham’s Spouse: Meet Jillian Billman. Australian singer John Peter Farnham was born in Britain on July 1, 1949. From 1967 through 1979, Farnham, then known as Johnny Farnham, was a teen pop hero. Since then, he has established a career as an adult contemporary performer.

While from 1982 to 1985 he took Glenn Shorrock’s position as Little River Band’s lead vocalist, his career has mostly been spent as a solo artist.

His solo song “You’re the Voice” reached its peak at No. 1 on the Australian singles charts in September 1986. The accompanying album, Whispering Jack, is the second-highest-selling record in Australian history and was at No. 1 for a total of 25 weeks.
