João Pedro parents-Brazilian professional footballer, João Pedro Junqueira Jesus was born on September 26, 2001.

Pedro enrolled in Fluminense’s youth program, and his mother relocated to Rio de Janeiro with him. Like his father, he transitioned through the club’s academy from defensive midfielder to attacking midfielder to striker.
Joo Pedro signed a five-year contract with Premier League club Watford on October 19, 2018, before he had even made his senior debut.
Joo Pedro made his varsity debut for Fluminense on March 28, 2019, as a late replacement in a 2-1 Campeonato Carioca loss to archrival Flamengo.
He made his league debut on April 29, a month later, as a late replacement in Goiás’ 1-0 defeat. In his following four games, he scored seven goals, including a hat trick in a 4-1 Copa Sudamericana victory over Atlético Nacional.
He would sign for Watford in January 2020 after receiving his UK work permit, it was announced on 30 October 2019.
On September 26, 2020, his birthday, Watford defeated Luton Town 1-0. It was his first goal for the team. Then, on October 16, 2020, he scored a long-range goal in Watford’s victory over Derby County.
On November 20, 2021, Joao Pedro defeated Manchester United to score his first Premier League goal. He honored his late stepfather Carlos Junior by dedicating the victory. Pedro scored the equalizer against Newcastle United on January 15, 2022, in the 88th minute. The game was tied 1-1 at the finish.
The move of Pedro from Watford to Premier League team Brighton & Hove Albion was announced on May 5, 2023. The transfer fee was not published, however, it was rumored to be in the neighborhood of a club record £30 million.
On August 12, he made his season debut in a 4-1 home victory over Premier League newcomers Luton Town. He started the game and later scored from the penalty spot.
