Jacques Villeneuve OQ is a Canadian former professional racing driver and amateur musician who achieved immense success in the world of motorsports. Born on April 9, 1971, in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, he is the son of Gilles Villeneuve, a Formula One legend who tragically lost his life during a qualifying session for the Belgian Grand Prix in 1982.

Villeneuve began his racing career in the European Formula Three Championship in 1992 and quickly progressed through the ranks. He made his Formula One debut with the newly-formed Williams-Renault team in 1996 and enjoyed an outstanding rookie season that included four victories and a second-place finish in the championship standings.

The following year, Villeneuve won the Formula One World Championship title, becoming only the third Canadian to achieve this feat.
