‘I Don’t Endorse Marijuana, I Don’t Smoke Marijuana’ – Black Sherif

Ghanaian musician, Mohammed Ismail Sherif Kweku Frimpong who is known in showbiz as Black Sherif has publicly made it known that he does not smoke.

This comes after he was asked in a recent interview on the popular Ghanaian radio station, Hitz FM by Andy Dosty.

The award-winning musician has been using the ‘smoke’ word as well as marijuana in his songs and many Ghanaians are of the view that he might be a certified smoker, however, he has refuted these claims.

Speaking in the interview, he said;

“I don’t endorse marijuana. I don’t smoke marijuana. I don’t smoke. And I am not telling anyone to do it o. When I talk about smoking, it’s actually about smoking the beat. We are burning the beat. Na ayɛ shishiishi.

My wildest dream is to have my song being sung across the world. Topping the chart is an achievement for me.”

Black Sherif was born and raised in Konongo in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He completed Kumasi Academy for his second cycle education and he is currently a student at the University of Professional Studies.
