Gino Odjick Parents: Who Are Gino Odjick Parents?: Gino Odjick, officially known as Wayne Gino Odjick was a Canadian professional ice hockey player born on September 7, 1970, in Maniwaki, Canada.

He developed a love for ice hockey at a younger age and started training for it. At the age of nine, Joe was sent to a residential school in Spanish, Ontario. His school registration number was 29 which he later used during his playing career.

After years of hard work, consistency, and dedication, Gino Odjick became one of the best ice hockey players in Canada. He was an ice hockey left winger who played twelve seasons.

He played in the National Hockey League from 1990 to 2002 for the Vancouver Canucks, New York Islanders, Philadelphia Flyers, and Montreal Canadiens.

Gino Odjick died of a heart attack on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at the age of 52. His friend Peter Leech was the one who announced his death.

“He had a heart attack, and couldn’t recover from it. We knew this day was going to come, but we didn’t know when. We were hoping much later,” Peter Leech told Postmedia by phone.

“He collapsed in the clinic, thank god the nurses were there. They worked on him for 45 minutes, It was tough to watch.” Leech added.

Gino Odjick was born in Maniwaki, Canada to Joe (father) and Marie-Antoinette Marchand (mother). His parents predeceased him.

His father was a trapper and fish guide but was killed in France in 1944 during the Second World War. Unfortunately, nothing is known about her mother, and although her mother is also dead, we are not sure if she died together with her husband during the war.
