Jonny Evans is a Northern Irish professional footballer who plays as a defender for Premier League club Manchester United and the Northern Ireland national team.
Jonny Evans started his career at Manchester United and progressed through the club’s academy. He played 198 games for the club Red Devils before departing in 2015, having won the Champions League and three Premier League titles.

Jonathan Grant Evans MBE born on 3 January 1988, is a Northern Irish professional footballer who plays as a defender for Premier League club Manchester United and the Northern Ireland national team.
Jonny Evans started his career at Manchester United and progressed through the club’s academy. He was loaned to Royal Antwerp and Sunderland and gained first-team experience before making his first-team debut for Manchester United in the 2007/08 League Cup. The following season he became a first-team regular, making around 200 appearances for Manchester United and winning three Premier League titles in eight years, among many other accolades.
However, he fell out of favor with Louis van Gaal’s club and joined West Bromwich Albion in 2015. With West Brom relegated three years later, Jonny Evans signed for Leicester City to win the FA Cup in 2021. Jonny Evans is the second most decorated player in Northern Ireland football history. He has made more than 100 appearances for Northern Ireland and was a constant presence at UEFA Euro 2016 as the team advanced to the last 16.
