Fiona Bruce Biography
Fiona Bruce’s birth took place on April 25, 1964, in Singapore.
Fiona had changed schools multiple times. She attended Gayton Primary School, International School of Milan. Then from the age of 14-18, she joined Haberdashers’ Aske’s Hatcham College in New Cross, London. After graduation, she attended Hertford College, Oxford.
Later she attended the University of London Institute in Paris.
At the age of 14, Fiona started attending Haberdashers’ College in New Cross and studied there till she turned 18.
Fiona seemed to be a versatile figure of her times as she also paid her services as a model for the stories in the teenage girls’ magazine entitled Jackie.
Fiona Bruce studied French and Italian at Hertford College. During this time, Fiona also disguised herself as a punk, singing in rock bands with dying her hair into blue.
But that was a temporary phase of her life that didn’t last long.
Fiona started to model when she was at the Haberdashers’ Aske’s Hatcham College for Jackie, a teenage girl’s magazine.
After graduating, she joined Hertford College, Oxford where she studied French and Italian. In her days there, she briefly became a punk and sang in rock bands, dying her hair blue!
After her days in Univerity were over she landed a job at a management consulting firm. There she worked for a year but did not like the experience.
Over the years she worked in different institutes namely, Panorama, Breakfast News (1992), BBC South East, Newsroom South East, First Sight, BBC2’s Public Eye (1994-1995), Newsnight, BBC One’s Real Story (2003-2007), BBC News at Ten, BBC News at Six, Crimewatch, etc.

Only 16 days after giving birth to Mia, she got back to work which gave her unfavorable criticism.
She said at the time:
“I’m not some mad career monster. I don’t want people to think I’m setting a terribly bad example here – the last thing I would advocate is women rushing back to work with a baby.”
They also have one son and one daughter called Sam and Mia respectively. Fiona broke the news after her returning to work just 16 days after the birth of her daughter Mia.
She was born to Scottish father John Bruce and English mother Rosemary Bruce and is not the only child of his parents.
Bruce’s Scottish father had worked his way up from being a postboy to become regional managing director of Unilever. Before that, the Bruce family had lived for several generations in the fishing village of Hopeman.
Fiona was raised with two older brothers Neil Bruce and Alasdair Bruce.
Fiona is a married woman and is married to Nigel Sharrocks, non-executive chairman of Digital Cinema Media.
The couple had first met when he was he was director of the advertising agency.
After dating for some time, they married in July 1994 in Islington. Fiona and Nigel have two children together.
