Duane Martin and his former wife, Tisha Campbell, are proud parents to two sons, Xen and Ezekiel. Their eldest son, Xen, entered the world in 2001, followed by the birth of Ezekiel in September 2009. The family’s journey took a distinctive turn when it was revealed that Xen was born with autism.
Facing the challenges head-on, Duane Martin and Tisha Campbell did not let Xen’s diagnosis define their family dynamics. Instead, they embraced the journey of raising a child with autism. Tisha, in particular, emerged as a staunch advocate for autism awareness, collaborating with other mothers of autistic children to produce the impactful short film titled “Colored My Mind” in 2011.
The film was screened at the MegaFest International Faith and Film Festival in 2013, contributing to the broader conversation about neurodiversity. Tisha Campbell celebrated a significant milestone in February 2020 when Xen gained admission into his dream college against the odds. Her tears of joy, shared with fans, resonated with the triumphs of parenting amidst autism.
