He’s an English singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer, best known for his work in the 1980s in the musical duo Wham!
Ridgeley developed a passion for music at a younger age and has been consistent throughout his career rising through the ranks to become one of the most sought-after English acts
Ridgeley and a friend, Michael formed the duo Wham! in 1981 after years of playing in various music groups.
Ridgeley co-wrote songs, played guitar, and performed backing vocals while Michael was the lead vocalist, and primary songwriter, and played keyboards.
Wham! enjoyed worldwide success from 1982 to 1986, selling more than 35 million records worldwide.
With Michael keen to move into a more adult market, the duo broke up after a farewell concert dubbed “The Final” at Wembley Stadium on 28 June 1986.
After their split, Ridgeley moved to Monaco and tried his hand at Formula Three motor racing, and since then not much has been heard of him.

In January 1991, Ridgeley joined Michael on stage for a few songs at the encore of his Rock in Rio event at the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.
Ridgeley has several times participated in the Dallaglio Cycle Slam, a charity bike ride established in 2009 to help young people tackle life in a positive way.

Ridgeley was stepfather to Keren Woodward’s son, Thomas from a previous relationship, however, the couple (Ridgeley and Kareen) had no children together.
Andrew Ridgeley had a long-term relationship with Keren Woodward, a member of the group Bananarama. The pair began their relationship in 1990 until they separated in 2017.
