Dick Van Dyke Siblings: Meet Jerry Van Dyke: Dick Van Dyke officially known as Richard Wayne Van Dyke is an American actor, entertainer, and comedian born on December 13, 1925.

He developed a love for entertainment at a younger age and has been consistent throughout his career rising through the ranks to be one of the most sought-after acts within the entertainment space.

Dick Van Dyke began his career as an entertainer on radio and television, in nightclubs, and on the Broadway stage before he appeared in the original production of Bye Bye Birdie alongside Chita Rivera.

His role in Bye Bye Birdie earned him the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical. He became a household name after his role as Rob Petrie on the CBS television sitcom The Dick Van Dyke Show.

Dick Van Dyke went on to star in the motion picture musicals Bye Bye Birdie, Mary Poppins, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and in the comedy-drama The Comic.

Dick Van Dyke made guest appearances on several television programs including; Columbo and The Carol Burnett Show. He also starred in The New Dick Van Dyke Show, Diagnosis: Murder, and Murder 101.

Van Dyke has also made appearances in the films Dick Tracy, Curious George, Night At the Museum, Mary Poppins Returns, and also Night At The Museum: Secret Of The Tomb.

His award-winning career has spanned seven decades in film, television, and stage, and he is the recipient of five Primetime Emmys, a Golden Globe, a Tony, and a Grammy Award.

Dick Van Dyke was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame in 1995 and the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2012 and has also been recognized as a Disney Legend.

He was honored with the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award in 2013 and the Kennedy Center Honors in 2021.

Dick Van Dyke is the older brother of Jerry Van Dyke who was also an actor. He made an appearance as his brother in The Dick Van Dyke Show. Jerry was born in 1931 and he passed away in 2018 at the age of 87.
