He’s best known for selling over 21.5 million singles in the United Kingdom becoming the 3rd-top-selling artist in UK Singles Chart history, behind The Beatles and Elvis Presley.

Sir Cliff Richard has also sold over 250 million records worldwide making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time. The decision was made in 1976 to repackage Richard as a rock artist. That year, Bruce Welch relaunched Cliff’s career and produced the landmark album I’m Nearly Famous, which included the successful but controversial guitar-driven track “Devil Woman”, which became Richard’s first true hit in the United States, and the ballad “Miss You Nights”.
