Christopher Jon Hopkins, aka “The Makeover Guy” (born 24 January 1964 located in Minneapolis, Minnesota), is an author, entrepreneur and speaker, media personality as well as a singer and makeover artist.

As a baritone vocalist was a part of his band, the Minnesota Orchestra, a PBS live broadcast with the Erie Philharmonic, the Grand Teton Music Festival and the Hannover Radio Philharmonic (Norddeutscher Rundfunk) in Germany. The debut album of his vocals in 1999 I’ll Be Looking For You received nominations for 1999’s Gay Lesbian American Music Awards for the track “A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square”.

Frustrated by the laborious process of negotiating a television series, Hopkins created his own internet series entitled Whadja Do Today? in September 2009. What began as an attempt to speed the process and showcase a more authentic approach to his persona ended after 100 daily episodes on December 24 of that year.

Following the success of Whadja Do Today?, Hopkins began a new series of makeover videos in June 2010. This series showcases dramatic real makeovers of men and women from around the world. Originally entitled The Makeover Guy Reveals, the series name was changed to The Power of Pretty brand makeovers in 2013.

Hopkins moved his business in the city of Minneapolis in 1994. In 1994, Hopkins renamed the business Christopher Hopkins Image Center (CHIC). Hopkins appeared on television networks nationwide which included HGTV, The Oprah Winfrey Show as well as on the Today Show. Hopkins was a guest on television with many famous faces like Hillary Clinton.
