Buzz Aldrin is a former American astronaut, engineer, and fighter pilot who became a household name around the world after taking part in the Apollo 11 lunar mission to the moon in July 1969 with fellow astronauts Neil Armstrong and Michael Collins.

In 1969, an estimated 600 million people witnessed Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin become the first people to walk on the moon as part of the Apollo 11 mission.

Buzz Aldrin happens to be the second man to walk on the moon after the mission’s commander, Neil Armstrong. He’s one of only four people alive to have walked on the moon.

In January 2023, Buzz Aldrin made major headlines when she got married for the 4th time at the age of 93 to her longtime girlfriend, Dr. Anca Faur. Interestingly, he got married on his birthday, (January 20, 2023).

Aldrin wrote: “On my 93rd birthday and the day I will also be honored by Living Legends of Aviation, I am pleased to announce that my long-time love Dr. Anca Faur and I have tied the knot. We were joined in holy matrimony in a small private ceremony in Los Angeles and are as excited as eloping teenagers.”
