Bruno Petkovic Biography

Bruno Petković was born born on 16th September, 1994 in Metković, a town in the Dubrovnik-Neretva, Croatia. He began playing football at age of 9 with his hometown club ONK Metković. In 2006, he joined NK Neretva, a football club also in Metković.

He joined the youth team of Dinamo Zagreb in 2007. He played there for 2 years and on 4th September 2009, he was transferred to the youth academy of city-rivals NK Zagreb. In the next two seasons, he represented NK HAŠK (2010–11) and Hrvatski Dragovoljac (2011–12), prior to his transfer to Italy, with Serie A side, Catania.

He was promoted to the Catania senior team in 2013 where he made only 5 appearances. From 2014 to 2015, Petković went on loan at Varese, Reggiana and Virtus Entalla, in Italy.

In January 2016, Petković moved to Serie B side Trapani. On 12 January 2017 Petković was transferred to Serie A team Bologna, for 1.2 million euros. He was then loaned to Hellas Verona on 11th January, 2018.

Petković joined Dinamo Zagreb on a season-long loan On 6th August, 2018, he joined Dinamo Zagreb on a season-long loan and was later bought outright from Bologna. In 2019 onward, Petković has become an integral part of the team.

In the international level, Petkovic played for the Croatia U21 in August 2013. He received his first call-up to join the Croatia team on 11th March, 2019. He was a key player in the UEFA Euro 2020 qualification process. He was part of the Croatia team for the 2020/2021 Nations League campaign where they underperformed.

Bruno Petković has made about 314 appearances in his club football as at 13th November, 2022. Out of his 314 appearances, he has managed to find the net 77 times. In his representation in the International level, he has 26 caps to his name as at 5th November, 2022 and he has scored 6 goals for the Croatia Senior National team as at 8th December, 2022.
